Full Itinerary
Day 1: Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Gorilla Forest
Our guide will pick you in the morning after breakfast in Kampala or Entebbe, and then you start your day’s journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will a simple at the Uganda Equator before continuing with the trip. Uganda Equator is an imaginary line or point that separates the North Hemisphere from South Hemisphere. Take individual photos at the equator monument and visit the craft and souvenir shop at this site, spending about 40 minutes and carry on with trip. Arrive at Mbarara Town in the afternoon and stop for some good time for a warm lunch. You will the drive straight to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, a territory for the Mountain Gorillas in Uganda and you will relax to the jewelries of the mountain tropical rain forest. Take an overnight at Gorilla Forest Lodge, Mahogany Springs and Gorilla Mist Camp or Buhoma community Bandas on Full Board.
Day 2: Uganda Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
In the morning, have plentiful breakfast to gain power necessary for gorilla trekking during which an unswerving scale of strength is crucial for the exercise. You will report by 8:00am to the park offices for registration and briefing by the ranger guides. You will trek through bumpy creepers and bushes with your guides to look for the Mountain Gorillas, an exercise that could last between 1 to 9 hours. It is amazing to sit in the forest among the gorillas, paying attention to them protest or play with each other.
It is an unfamiliar moment being with these fabulous human-like primates. Time allowed for visitors to be with the Gorillas in Uganda or Rwanda is only 1 hour in which every minute counts much and is worth it. With a free afternoon at your disposal, you can alternatively take a guided stride out on in the communities or nature around the park and you will see pleasant green surroundings, epiphytic ferns, tree ferns, orchid’s colorful butterflies or a guided village hike to see how the locals use up their lives. Day 3: Connect to Queen Elizabeth National Park via its Isasha Sector
Take breakfast and head off in the early hours to Queen Elizabeth National Park through the as Ishasha Sector, the southern isolated and fine-looking section of the park, well-known for its tree-climbing lions. It is stunning to see the lions hug or embrace the trees and you will most likely see buffalos and topis among others in this area. After a game drive through Isasha Sector, you will proceed to the upper section of the park where you will arrive the afternoon or evening and retire to your lodge. Overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge, Katara Lodge, Enganzi Lodge or Ihamba Lakeside Safari Lodge on Full Board.
Day 4: Have a Morning Game Drive and an afternoon Boat Cruise on Kazinga Channel
Wake up early enough, enjoys breakfast and set off for a morning game drive, during which you will have an opportunity to see elephants, hippos, lions, leopards, spotted hyenas, stripped jackals, bush bucks, water bucks and warthogs and many wild animals. After this wonderful game drive, return to the lodge for relaxation. You will have lunch later in the afternoon and it will be followed by an exciting and memorable launch cruise on the Kazinga Channel as it has lots of animals and birds that it offers.
Kazinga Channel found in Queen Elizabeth National Park is a 40 km long waterway that joins Lake George and to Lake Edward. Many tourists to this vast park are always impressed by the Channel’s amazing wildlife diversity. At this water spot, many buffaloes rest in the water while big herds of elephants and diverse bird species can be seen enjoying themselves along the water shores of the channel. A majority of tourists who take part in the two-hour long launch cruise along the Kazinga Channel voyage repute it as the climax of their African safari. During the cruise, you will not miss seeing some concentrations of hippos and birds on the water sides. Day 5: Do Chimps Tracking in Kyambura Gorge & return to Kampala
Take an early breakfast, set off for Kyambura Gorge for chimpanzee tracking with a possibility to see an array of other primate species. Chimpanzee tracking in the gorge is remarkable as some of the Chimps have been habituated, meaning that these chimpanzees are familiar with human beings and can carry on their day to day activities in the presence of people. Kyambura is the only place in the park where you can see habituated chimpanzees and other types of primates including red-tailed monkey, black-and-white colobus, baboons and vervet monkeys. This area is also identified for a variety of avian species like numerous falcons, the blue-headed bee-eater and the African Fin foot.
After chimps trekking, start your journey back to Kampala. Take a warm lunch enroute in Mbarara Town. From here, you will carry on with the journey to Kampala making a brief stopover at the Uganda if you missed it on the first day for a photo session and Mpambire traditional handicraft makers. Arrive in Kampala in the evening and the driver will transfer you to your accommodation in Kampala or Entebbe area in case your flight is timely close.
