Day 1: Travel from Kampala to Murchison Falls, visit Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a Rhino Tracking Excursion
You will be picked from Kampala in the morning to start your trip to Murchison Falls National Park. Along the way in Nakasongola District, you will pay a visit to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary where you will do a perfect Rhino tracking. This is the only place in Uganda where rhinos are found. You will spend 2 hours trekking rhinos before continuing with the journey through Masindi up to the park as you view the green flat landscape. You will have a warm lunch enorute (along the way). You will arrive at the park in the evening. Overnight accommodation at Paraa Safari Lodge, Pakuba Safari Lodge, Sambiya River Lodge or Murchison River Lodge (Full board)
Day 2: Enjoy a Morning Game Drive and an afternoon Boat Cruise
This is a day for a wonderful Uganda Safari in Murchison Falls National Park, a haven for wildlife in Uganda. Wake up very early, take some snacks and tea and leave for an early-morning game drive before dawn to hook up with the early-rising mammals. This thrilling game drive will assist you see animals like the elephants, lions, giraffes, jackals, hartebeests, bohor reed bucks, oribi, bush bucks, hyenas, antelopes and the Uganda kob among others. You will rest from the game drive for a heavy breakfast at the lodge. Later on after lunch at the lodge, you will go for an open launch cruise on the Nile. This boat voyage to the bottom of the falls allows you to see buffaloes, hippos, crocodiles, elephants and plenty of water birds including the rare shoebill, the herons, bee-eaters, cormorants, kingfishers, ducks, fish eagles, skimmers and many more. After a boat cruise, return to the lodge for an overnight stay.
Day 3: Drive to the Top of the Falls for incredible Sights & Sounds & later return to Kampala.
After breakfast, check out of the lodge, drive to the captivating Top of the Falls for a sight enchantment. The top of the falls is an unbelievable scene as it is where the Nile, Africa’s the longest river goes through a thin gap of about 7 meters wide in the rock before aggressively tumbling down 43 meters. It is a stunning photo opportunity. After an hour or less at the top of the falls, start the journey back to Kampala where you arrive in the evening. Your drive guide will drop you at your hotel.
